National Health Insurance Agency: Encourage the supply of small-sized children's products by using "difference in content price" instead of "difference in packaging price".
On September 20, the National Drug Centralized Procurement Office announced the 11th batch of national organized drug centralized procurement documents. Regarding the guarantee of supply of pediatric drugs, the person in charge of the National Medical Insurance Administration stated that they will work together with relevant departments and experts to specifically demonstrate the comparison rules for pediatric appropriate small-scale drugs. For pediatric suitable dosage forms such as oral solutions, dry mix suspensions, granules, injections, etc., the "content difference comparison" is used instead of the "package size difference comparison". After adjustment, the prices of small-scale drugs have been slightly relaxed to encourage the supply of pediatric small-scale drugs.
