Autonomous driving company Pony.ai announced on September 20 that it has officially entered the Singapore market and will collaborate with ComfortDelGro Corporation, Singapore's largest transportation service provider, to deploy autonomous vehicles and related services locally. The two parties will first launch autonomous travel services in the Punggol area of Singapore, and the service will start after obtaining regulatory approval. The Singapore Ministry of Transport announced in June of this year its plan to introduce autonomous vehicles into public housing estates by the end of 2025 and integrate them into the national public transportation system. The first batch of autonomous vehicles will be in operation in the Punggol area.
