On September 20th, the construction of the Duku Expressway project officially started at the foot of the Tianshan Mountains. This traffic artery that runs through the north and south of the Tianshan Mountains will be completed and will achieve year-round unimpeded passage, completely changing the historical issue of the existing Duku highway being impassable for half a year. The Duku highway starts from Dushanzi District in Karamay City in the north and reaches Kuqa City in Aksu Prefecture in the south, running through the north and south of the Tianshan Mountains. However, due to climate conditions, it is only passable for 4 months each year. The Duku Expressway under construction is a total length of 393.693 kilometers, with a design speed of 100 to 120 kilometers per hour. It will form a "fast forward and slow travel" dual carriageway with the original highway, significantly increasing the traffic capacity, and linking famous attractions such as Nalati Grassland and Bostan Braque Swan Lake, becoming a truly scenic road.
