Chinese enterprise starts filling construction of the dam for the Mohmand Hydropower Project in Pakistan.

On May 15th, the dam construction of the Mohmand Hydropower Project in Pakistan, which is under the general contracting construction of China Gezhouba Group Corporation, officially started filling and construction, marking the entry of this flagship national project in Pakistan into the key construction stage and comprehensive acceleration stage. The Mohmand Hydropower Project integrates power generation, flood control, irrigation, and water supply, and is a comprehensive large-scale infrastructure project promoted by the Pakistani government. The project is located on the Swat River in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province in northwest Pakistan, officially started on September 20, 2019, with a total installed capacity of 800,000 kilowatts.
