Seagate's Chief Business Officer BS Teh revealed on Wednesday that the company is working on developing a 100TB hard drive, as the demand for this 70-year-old technology has surged in data centers amid the AI boom. Seagate aims to launch this hard drive by 2030 with a capacity three times that of its current top-of-the-line hard drive. The largest hard drive currently produced by Seagate is the 36TB Exos M drive launched in January of this year.
