Tropical storm "Imelda" hits eastern Cuba, killing one person.

Affected by the tropical storm "Imelda", strong rainfall occurred in eastern Cuba on September 28th, local time. Several towns, including Santiago de Cuba and Guantanamo, were affected. The local meteorological bureau reported that multiple observation points accumulated over 200 millimeters of rainfall in less than 24 hours, and the water storage capacity of a reservoir near Santiago de Cuba rapidly increased to 55%. The heavy rainfall in Santiago de Cuba also triggered landslides, resulting in 1 death, damage to multiple houses, and significant impact on areas near rivers. Currently, the local civil defense and meteorological departments have issued a notice to suspend all school activities starting from September 29th and urged people to reduce unnecessary outings until the weather improves.
