According to the data compiled by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, in August 2025, the total number of imported vehicles was 45,000, a month-on-month decrease of 9.1% and a year-on-year decrease of 40.6%; the total import amount was 2.11 billion US dollars, a month-on-month decrease of 16.0% and a year-on-year decrease of 50.5%. From January to August 2025, the total number of imported vehicles was 319,000, a year-on-year decrease of 33.2%; the total import amount was 16.21 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 40.5%.
