Douyin predicts National Day consumption for lifestyle services: Small town accommodation orders increase by 47%, local restaurants serving traditional cuisine popular.
As the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday approaches, the offline consumption market is experiencing a peak in reservations. On the 28th, Douyin Life Services released a preview of National Day consumption data, showing a significant increase in group buying sales of clothing, home furnishings, accommodation, and dining from September 15th to 24th. Accommodation orders in third-tier and below cities have surged, with cities like Luoyang, Handan, Huzhou, and Zhanjiang expected to see high passenger flows. Camping, ancient-style makeup, and other cultural and tourism consumption are particularly popular.
In particular, there is a high demand for dining in restaurants. Local cuisine bookings are booming, with the overall sales of local cuisine group buying on Douyin increasing by 45% year-on-year. Among them, the sales of Yun-Gui cuisine group buying increased by 102%. In other cuisines, Cantonese cuisine increased by 81% year-on-year, while Anhui cuisine, Shandong cuisine, Hubei cuisine, and Jiangsu-Zhejiang cuisine increased by 69%, 61%, 59%, and 48% respectively. Consumers deeply explore local cultural characteristics through their taste buds while traveling.
