Meta CTO: Humanoid robots are the next "AR-level gamble," with the bottleneck being in software.

Meta's Chief Technology Officer Andrew Bosworth revealed that earlier this year he launched a robotics research program under Mark Zuckerberg's guidance, "hardware is not the bottleneck, the bottleneck is in the software." Meta hopes to develop a "world model" to help robots "perform software simulation, enabling dexterous arm movements," which could potentially expand to more complex actions and tasks in the future.
