The Tibet Work Seminar of the Trade Promotion System and the "Tibet Tour" event for Chinese and foreign enterprises were successfully held.
From September 22nd to 25th, the Tibet Work Symposium of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the "Tibet Tour" activities for domestic and foreign enterprises were successfully held. CCPIT President Reng Hongbin held discussions with the Secretary of the Tibet Autonomous Region Party Committee Wang Junzheng, and jointly met with leaders of domestic and foreign enterprises. The Deputy Secretary of the Autonomous Region Party Committee and the Chairman of the Autonomous Region, Gama Zedeng, were also in attendance. CCPIT and the Tibet Autonomous Region People's Government signed a memorandum of understanding to deepen cooperation. Reng Hongbin and the Vice Chairman of the Autonomous Region, Zhao Peng, attended and spoke at the Tibet Work Symposium of the CCPIT. CCPIT and the Tibet Autonomous Region People's Government jointly held a government-enterprise dialogue and investment symposium, which Reng Hongbin and Zhao Peng attended and delivered speeches at. This was the first time in many years that CCPIT had held such symposiums and activities in Tibet. This is not only a tribute to the 60 years of development in Tibet, but also a gift to inject vitality into the future development of the plateau. "Even good wine needs no bush", the unique resources and development foundation accumulated in Tibet over the past 60 years need a broader cooperation platform to be activated. During this event, CCPIT organized enterprises to visit and negotiate in Tibet, precisely building bridges to promote cooperation and intentions in various fields such as agriculture, energy, supply chain, biomedicine, and cultural tourism. Throughout the event, Lhasa, Shigatse, and Nyingchi showcased their investment policies and advantages based on their respective locations. The active response from enterprises is a recognition of the development achieved in Tibet over the past 60 years. In the last 60 years, Tibet's economic development has achieved remarkable results. By 2024, Tibet's gross domestic product is 155 times higher than in 1965, and the disposable income per capita for farmers and herdsmen has increased by 199 times.
