Representatives from Taiwan's business community are inspecting opportunities for the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port.

The 2025 Qiong-Tai Economic and Trade Exchange activities were held in Hainan from the 26th to the 29th. Representatives from Taiwan's business community visited Hainan to explore the opportunities in the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port. On the evening of the 26th, Yin Libo, a member of the Hainan Provincial Party Committee, met with the representatives of Taiwan's business community in Haikou. Yin Libo introduced the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port and the characteristics of industrial development to the representatives from Taiwan. She mentioned that Taiwan and Hainan are geographically close and have strong people-to-people ties. She hopes that more Taiwanese compatriots will come to Hainan to not only enjoy the natural scenery and cultural atmosphere, but also fully utilize the policy dividends and open opportunities of the Hainan Free Trade Port, leverage the advantages of Taiwan's business community, and work together to create investment opportunities and achieve win-win cooperation between Qiong and Taiwan. Sun Yafu, Vice President of the Cross-Strait Relations Association, expressed during the meeting that amidst the changing global economic landscape, Taiwanese businesses should remain confident in investing in the mainland. Both sides should adhere to economic and various other exchanges, seize the opportunities presented by the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port, and promote the healthy development of the economies on both sides of the Taiwan Strait.
