According to sources familiar with the matter, the video game company Electronic Arts (EA) is in talks with an American investment group backed by Saudi Arabia regarding a potential acquisition. The sources indicated that EA is in talks with Silver Lake Management, the Saudi Public Investment Fund, and Affinity Partners under Jared Kushner for a leveraged buyout deal. As the matter has not been made public yet, the sources requested to remain anonymous. They added that the company could announce the deal as early as next week, but it has not been finalized and the negotiations could still fall through. The acquisition of EA would be one of the largest deals announced so far in 2025. The sources also mentioned that JPMorgan Chase is working on a financing plan for the buyers. Representatives from EA and the Saudi Public Investment Fund did not respond to requests for comments. Representatives from Silver Lake, Affinity Partners, and JPMorgan Chase also declined to comment.
