At 5:49 on September 27th, a 5.6 magnitude earthquake occurred in Longxi County, Dingxi City, Gansu Province, with a depth of 10 kilometers. After the earthquake, Wang Xiangxi, Deputy Chief of the State Council's Earthquake Relief Command and Minister of Emergency Management, immediately made arrangements, requesting the activation of response, verification of the disaster situation, dispatch of work teams to the scene, and deployment of firefighting rescue teams to carry out rescue operations at the epicenter. The office of the State Council's Earthquake Relief Command and the Ministry of Emergency Management have activated a level four national earthquake disaster emergency response, and dispatched work teams to the earthquake-stricken area to guide earthquake relief work. The advanced forces of the comprehensive national firefighting rescue team have arrived at the epicenter to conduct inspections, while the firefighting rescue teams from Dingxi and Tianshui have been mobilized with 200 personnel and 28 vehicles to rush to the scene; the hazardous chemical rescue team from Lanzhou Petrochemical and the mining rescue team from Jingyuan have been dispatched with 7 vehicles and 26 personnel equipped with search and rescue equipment, heading for the epicenter. As of now, no reports of casualties have been received, and the disaster situation is still being further verified.
