Asian chip stocks rise as Nvidia and OpenAI reach a $100 billion deal.

Including SK hynix, Asian chip-related stocks rose, NVIDIA invested $1 billion in OpenAI to support new data centers and other artificial intelligence infrastructure. In overnight trading in New York, tech stocks led the S&P 500 index. South Korean NVIDIA suppliers rose with SK hynix up 2.4%, Samsung up 2.9%, and SK hynix up 2.7%. Taiwanese suppliers TSMC rose 2.3%, ASE up 1.2%, UMC up 0.4%, GMT up 1.8%, Winbond up 2.9%, JCET up 1.5%, and Foxconn up 0.9%.
