Autumn grain accounts for three quarters of the total grain production in China. Currently, autumn grain is being harvested in various regions with the assistance of technology to ensure a bountiful harvest and build a solid foundation for a successful yield. Some regions in the northeast have already started harvesting autumn grain. As a key national cereal production base, Heilongjiang has maintained a stable grain planting area of over 220 million mu this year, with approximately 100 million mu dedicated to corn cultivation. Large-scale rice harvesting has begun in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. In Hunan, the harvest of 22 million mu of early rice is proceeding rapidly, with progress already exceeding half. Rice harvesting in many southwestern regions is reaching its final stages, with over 90% completion in Chongqing. This year, through the implementation of high-quality seeds, technology, machinery, and farming practices, it is expected that the annual grain planting area, yield per unit area, and total production will achieve a "triple increase".
