The Xinjiang Dashixia Water Conservancy Project has started to store water by opening the dam gate.

According to the official WeChat account of China Gezhouba Group, on September 20, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region held a ceremony for the centralized commencement and completion of major projects for 2025, as well as the dispatch meeting for key projects in the third quarter. Chen Xiaojiang, Secretary of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Party Committee, attended the event and announced the commencement of projects. During this event, 70 major projects in Xinjiang commenced construction, while 56 major projects were completed. The Xinjiang Dashixia Water Conservancy Hub project invested and constructed by China Gezhouba Group started the reservoir filling process.
