Alliance Consultancy: Global laptop shipments are estimated to increase by 2.2% annually by 2025, with continuing expansion of production capacity in Southeast Asia.
According to the China Times Finance and Economics app, TrendForce, a research firm, stated in a report that despite the impact of geopolitical factors and tariff uncertainty on the global laptop market in 2025, there are still signs of recovery. TrendForce mentioned that due to the fact that laptop products still enjoy duty-free treatment on imports from Southeast Asia to the United States, and with the supply chain having accelerated capacity deployment in the region in response to the US government's implementation of equal tariff policies, production capacity has gradually been put in place. This is expected to help increase laptop shipments by around 2.2% for the year, exceeding 180 million units.
