According to the financial news app Zhitong Finance, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Commerce, the General Administration of Customs, the State Administration for Market Regulation, and the National Energy Administration recently jointly issued the "Automobile Industry Growth Stabilization Plan (2025-2026)." The plan aims to achieve a total annual car sales of around 32.3 million vehicles in 2025, with a year-on-year growth of approximately 3%. Of this total, sales of new energy vehicles are expected to reach around 15.5 million units, with a year-on-year growth of about 20%. The plan also calls for maintaining stable growth in automobile exports and achieving a 6% year-on-year growth in the value added of the automobile manufacturing industry. In 2026, the industry is expected to maintain a stable and positive development trend, with further improvement in industry scale and quality efficiency. To achieve these goals, the plan outlines 15 measures, including accelerating the comprehensive marketization of new energy vehicles, further promoting car consumption, and promoting the industrial application of intelligent connected technologies. It also includes three safeguard measures focusing on strengthening coordination, monitoring operations, and enhancing talent development, with more than 60 detailed measures in total.
