Last year, the average salary of urban employed people increased steadily, and the overall ranking among industries remained stable.

According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, in 2024, the annual average wage of urban employed persons has steadily increased. The annual average wage for urban non-private employed persons nationwide was 124,110 yuan, with a nominal growth of 2.8% and a comparable growth of 2.6%; the annual average wage for urban private employed persons was 69,476 yuan, with a nominal growth of 1.7% and a comparable growth of 4%; the annual average wage for employees of large-scale enterprises was 102,452 yuan, with a nominal growth of 4.4% and a comparable growth of 4.2%. The overall wage levels among industries remain stable. Looking at different industry categories, the top three industries in terms of average annual wage levels for both urban non-private employed persons and private employed persons are still the information transmission, software and information technology services industry, the financial industry, and the science research and technology services industry; industries with lower average wage levels are mainly concentrated in agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fisheries, accommodation and catering services, water, environmental and public facility management, as well as residential services, repair, and other services. In terms of changes in rankings, among the 19 industry categories, the rankings of the average annual wages in 12 non-private industries and 10 private industries remain the same as the previous year.
