Brazil reports first outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza in commercial poultry farm.

On the 16th local time, the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture confirmed that a commercial poultry farm in the southern region of the country has reported a case of poultry infection with highly pathogenic avian influenza virus. This is the first time the country has discovered an outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza in a commercial farming system.
