Guangzhou has lifted the rainstorm warning signal.

The Guangzhou Meteorological Observatory issued a weather report at 15:00 on May 17, 2025. In the past three hours, Tianhe and Yuexiu districts in Guangzhou experienced moderate to heavy thunderstorms, with the largest accumulated rainfall recorded at 28.3 millimeters in Changxing Street, Tianhe District. Currently, the thunderstorm clouds have moved out of the urban area, and the precipitation is weakening. As of 14:56 on the 17th, the rainstorm warning signal for Tianhe District in Guangzhou has been lifted. However, snow-rain clouds continue to form and develop upstream, and it is expected that the rainfall in the urban area will intensify again in 2-3 hours. The yellow warning signal for heavy rain and thunderstorm winds in Tianhe and Yuexiu districts is still in effect, so please continue to take necessary precautions.
