The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently issued a joint notice to deploy the work of pilot cities for the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises by 2025. The key tasks include focusing on the needs of enterprises, highlighting the effectiveness of transformation; promoting supply and demand in both directions, strengthening professional supply; encouraging exploration and innovation, strengthening path guidance; strengthening mechanism innovation, solidifying factor protection; and strengthening the summary of experience, continuously optimizing measures in five aspects. This year, about 34 cities will be selected to carry out the third batch of pilot work. Pilot cities should be at the prefecture level or above, including provincial capital cities, other prefecture-level cities, and districts and counties under the direct jurisdiction of municipalities. Cities already included in the first two batches of pilot projects are not allowed to reapply. The implementation period of the third batch of city pilots is two years, starting from the date of approval of the implementation plan.
