As reported by the Zhitong Financial APP, on May 22nd, according to the central bank data, in April 2026, the average daily turnover of interbank lending transactions was 461.48 billion yuan, an increase of 46.0% year-on-year; the average daily turnover of bond repurchase transactions in the interbank market was 8.4 trillion yuan, an increase of 36.2% year-on-year. By the end of April 2026, the outstanding balance of interbank lending that had not matured was 1.1 trillion yuan, and the outstanding balance of bond repurchase transactions in the interbank market that had not matured was 10.5 trillion yuan.
