"Morak" will continue to strengthen, reaching super typhoon level.
According to the Central Meteorological Observatory, as of 5:00 today, the center of Typhoon No. 4 "Chenlak" was located in the northwest Pacific Ocean about 920 kilometers southeast of Guam, which is at 8.5 degrees north latitude and 151.5 degrees east longitude. The maximum wind force near the center is level 10, with a minimum central pressure of 982 hPa and a radius of gale force winds extending 300 to 380 kilometers. It is expected that "Chenlak" will move northwestward, continuing to strengthen in intensity, and gradually approach the ocean near Guam by the early morning of the 14th. It is expected to reach super typhoon strength. The future "Chenlak" will have no impact on our country's coastal waters.
