Su Bo, Deputy Director of the National Manufacturing Strong Country Construction Strategic Advisory Committee and former Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology, stated that the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period is a crucial phase for China to transform from a major automobile country to a powerful automobile country. New energy vehicles should undertake the national mission of building a strong manufacturing country, a strong technological country, a strong transportation country, and achieving the "dual carbon" goals. By 2030, new energy vehicles will become the absolute mainstay of the automobile market, with a domestic penetration rate exceeding 70%. By the end of the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period, the goal of building a strong new energy vehicle country is expected to be achieved ahead of schedule.
