February 28th: The "200 Wholesale Price Index of Agricultural Products" dropped by 0.13 points compared to yesterday.

According to the monitoring of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, on February 28, the "2010 Agricultural Product Wholesale Price Index" was 126.25, a decrease of 0.13 points from yesterday, and the "basket of vegetables" product wholesale price index was 128.60, a decrease of 0.13 points from yesterday. As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork in the national agricultural product wholesale market was 17.54 yuan/kg, a decrease of 0.9% from yesterday; beef was 66.06 yuan/kg, a decrease of 0.3% from yesterday; mutton was 65.40 yuan/kg, a decrease of 0.1% from yesterday; eggs were 7.47 yuan/kg, a decrease of 2.2% from yesterday; and chicken breasts were 17.14 yuan/kg, a decrease of 1.6% from yesterday. The average price of the 28 types of vegetables monitored was 5.25 yuan/kg, a decrease of 0.9% from yesterday; the average price of the 6 types of fruits monitored was 7.98 yuan/kg, an increase of 0.9% from yesterday. Crucian carp was 19.75 yuan/kg, a decrease of 1.3% from yesterday; grass carp was 14.84 yuan/kg, an increase of 0.7% from yesterday; white carp was 10.27 yuan/kg, a decrease of 5.1% from yesterday; and belt fish was 41.33 yuan/kg, an increase of 1.4% from yesterday. Today, among the 46 varieties of fresh agricultural products monitored in the domestic wholesale market, the top five with the highest price increase compared to yesterday are bighead carp, bananas, Kyoho grapes, belt fish, and Fuji apples, with increases of 3.1%, 1.6%, 1.6%, 1.4%, and 1.2% respectively; the top five with the highest price decrease are white carp, scallions, cabbage, rapeseed, and grass carp, with decreases of 5.1%, 3.4%, 3.4%, 3.0%, and 2.9% respectively.
