The EU launches the first sunset review investigation on anti-dumping of polyvinyl alcohol against China.

According to the China Trade Remedy Information Network, on September 25th, the European Commission announced that, in response to an application submitted by Kuraray Europe GmbH on June 27, 2025, it will initiate the first interim review investigation on the anti-dumping measures for polyvinyl alcohol originating from China. The investigation will assess whether the dumping of the products in question will continue to harm the domestic industry of the European Union if the current anti-dumping measures are revoked. The EU CN code for the products in question is ex 3905 30 00. The interim review period for this investigation is from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025, and the period for assessing industry damage is from January 1, 2022 to the end of the investigation period.
