The Israeli military claims to have killed a member of the elite Hamas forces.

On September 28th local time, the Israeli Defense Forces and the Israeli Security Agency issued a joint announcement stating that the IDF had killed a member of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, known as "Nuhba" elite force - Hasan Mahmoud Hasan Hussein. The IDF stated that this member had served as the commander of the "Nuhba" battalion in the Hamas Central Camp and had been involved in multiple attacks against Israel, as well as in the abduction of Israeli civilians. Hamas has not responded to this statement.
