Guangzhou has completed the construction of the largest V2G microgrid in the country.

Recently, the national largest V2G microgrid and GAC's 20,000th charging pile online ceremony was held at the GAC E'an Park. V2G stands for "vehicle-to-grid," also known as "vehicle-grid interaction," which supports bidirectional energy interaction between electric vehicles and the grid. V2G transforms pure electric vehicle models into mobile distributed energy storage units. They can both charge from the grid and discharge to the grid. Users, while meeting their travel needs, can sell excess electricity to the grid through V2G, thereby improving grid efficiency and reliability while also bringing additional economic benefits to users. This V2G microgrid project, which has been implemented, is not only the largest V2G demonstration project in China, but also the first centralized V2G system integration project to achieve 10kV medium voltage grid connection.
