Currently, the largest capacity compressed air energy storage power station in China, the Huahai Jintan Salt Cavern Compressed Air Energy Storage and Generation Phase II project, has successfully transmitted electricity in Changzhou, Jiangsu. It is of great significance in guaranteeing regional energy security and promoting green and low-carbon transformation. This project is one of the major projects in Jiangsu Province, with 100% localization of core equipment. The total volume reaches 1.2 million cubic meters, with the ability to store 2.8 million kilowatt-hours of electricity in a single charge. It can meet the charging needs of 100,000 new energy vehicles, saving 270,000 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 520,000 tons annually.
