Civil Aviation Administration: Urge airlines to strictly implement pricing policies and strengthen price self-discipline.
On September 28th, the State Council Information Office held a press conference on the transportation services guarantee for the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays. Xiong Jie, Chief Pilot of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, stated that safety is the lifeline of the civil aviation industry. This year, due to the potential increase in local convective weather and precipitation during the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays, the Civil Aviation Administration has instructed related production and operation units to closely monitor weather changes, proactively identify safety hazards, strictly adhere to work standards, and ensure the absolute safety of transportation flights.
At the same time, there may be an increase in activities such as aerial tours during the holidays, so the Civil Aviation Administration will strengthen joint supervision with local authorities to strictly investigate and punish violations and illegal activities, urging general aviation companies to operate in strict accordance with regulations and compliance. In terms of improving passenger service, Xiong Jie mentioned that airlines and airports are urged to strengthen operational coordination and decision-making, strive to improve the normality of flights, and reduce the impact of severe weather on the travel of civil aviation passengers. In the event of flight changes or delays, passengers will be promptly informed, and follow-up support measures such as ticket refunds or changes will be provided.
The strict implementation of national price laws and regulations and industry pricing policies, as well as strengthening price self-discipline, is emphasized. The "priority for military personnel according to law" requirement will be adhered to, providing convenience for military personnel to take flights. Special attention will be given to the special needs of disabled individuals, elderly individuals, children, and first-time air travelers, providing assistance and guidance. Cooperation with customs and other joint inspection departments will be enhanced to further facilitate passenger immigration, transit, and other processes. Customer service phone lines will be kept open and responsive to passenger requests.
Encouragement will be given to airlines and airports with conditions to organize Mid-Autumn and National Day themed activities, such as festive decorations, moon-viewing themed flights, special onboard meals, creating a good holiday travel atmosphere.
