On September 28th, the Chinese Consulate General in Melbourne issued a safety reminder: Recently, a Chinese tourist in Tasmania, within our consular district, tragically passed away while hiking outdoors due to extreme weather conditions and lack of necessary safety equipment. Our consulate expresses condolences to the deceased tourist. Currently, we are coordinating with relevant parties to handle the aftermath. With the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays approaching, the number of Chinese tourists traveling to our consular district is increasing.
