The sales of second-hand electric vehicles in the United States surged by 34% year-on-year in the first half of the year.
According to the latest data from Cox Automotive, the market demand for used electric vehicles in the United States remained strong in the first half of this year, with sales increasing by 34% compared to the same period last year. Currently, the price of used electric vehicles in the United States is almost on par with used fuel vehicles. In August, the average transaction price of used electric vehicles was $34,700.
Several factors have contributed to the surge in the used electric vehicle market, including a large supply of soon-to-expire three-year lease vehicles, continued price decreases, and evidence suggesting that electric vehicles may be more durable and reliable than fuel vehicles after prolonged use.
