Hainan this year has seen nearly 400,000 visa-free arrivals of foreign nationals, with Sanya becoming a popular destination.

According to statistics from the Haikou Immigration Inspection General Station, as of September 24th, this year, Hainan has received a total of 980,000 foreign visitors, an increase of 46.3% compared to the same period last year. Among them, there were 395,000 foreign visitors entering without a visa, accounting for 88.8% of the total number of foreign visitors entering the country. Russia, Kazakhstan, South Korea, and other countries are important source markets for inbound tourists to Sanya. Data shows that so far this year, more than 570,000 foreign tourists have entered and exited from Sanya's airport, accounting for 83% of the total number of arrivals and departures.
