In the first 8 months, Fujian's "new three products" exports hit a record high

As a new business card for "Made in Fujian", "new three items" products such as lithium-ion batteries, electric vehicles, and photovoltaic products have been widely distributed globally, becoming a distinct symbol and core engine for Fujian's foreign trade to move towards high quality. According to Xiamen Customs statistics, from January to August, Fujian exported "new three items" products totaling 94.31 billion yuan, an increase of 19.9% year-on-year, reaching a historical record high for the same period. Among them, the export in August was 11.84 billion yuan, and the monthly export scale exceeded 10 billion yuan for six consecutive months. The export performance of lithium-ion batteries was particularly outstanding, becoming the absolute main force in the export of Fujian's "new three items" products. Data shows that from January to August, Fujian exported lithium-ion batteries totaling 87.23 billion yuan, accounting for over 90% of the total value of the province's "new three items" products during the same period. During the same period, electric cars, especially passenger electric cars, became a hot-selling category, with Fujian exporting electric cars totaling 5.58 billion yuan, a significant increase of 53.6% year-on-year.
