Hong Kong ranks third in the global financial center index report.
The UK's Z/Yen group and the China (Shenzhen) Institute of Comprehensive Development Research jointly released the 38th Global Financial Centers Index report today. Hong Kong's overall score rose by 4 points to 764 points, maintaining its position as the third in the world and first in the Asia-Pacific region. The gap between Hong Kong and the first-ranked New York and second-ranked London narrowed to 2 and 1 points, respectively. In the report, Hong Kong's ranking in fintech jumped from fourth globally to first, and its rankings in "business environment," "infrastructure," and "reputation and overall" also rose to first globally. In terms of "human capital" and "financial industry development level," Hong Kong ranked second and third globally, respectively.
