On September 25th, Howie Group presented TheiaCel technology at the 2025 Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit in Beijing. According to reports, TheiaCel technology achieves a full well capacity enhancement of about 100 times, bringing a close to 140 dB ultra-high dynamic range and avoiding motion blur in multi-frame exposure video HDR. Currently, this technology has been successfully applied in the automotive electronics field, but still faces severe challenges in the mobile imaging field: smaller pixel requirements, low light performance, and video dynamic range. In response, Howie Group has launched the OV50X image sensor incorporating TheiaCel technology, and has partnered with Qualcomm and Horizon Software to build a complete and systematic solution from sensors, SoCs to software.
