U.S. companies file a 337 investigation request against specific open-ear headphones.
According to the Ministry of Commerce's Trade Remedy Bureau, on September 23, the American company Bose Corporation filed an application with the United States International Trade Commission under Section 337 of the U.S. Tariff Act of 1930, accusing certain open earphones exported to the U.S., imported into the U.S., or sold in the U.S. of infringing its patent rights. The company requested the initiation of a Section 337 investigation and the issuance of a general exclusion order, limited exclusion order, and cease-and-desist order. A total of 22 companies, including China, are involved in the case.
