Mutharika wins Malawi presidential election.

On September 24th local time, according to the election results announced by the Malawi Electoral Commission, former Malawian President and leader of the Democratic Progressive Party, Peter Mutharika, emerged victorious in the presidential election. Malawi held presidential, parliamentary and local government elections on September 16th. Malawi is located in Southeast Africa, with an area of less than 120,000 square kilometers. Malawi holds elections every 5 years.
