National Energy Administration: From January to August, the national electricity market transaction volume increased by 7.0% year-on-year.

From January to August 2025, the national cumulative electricity market transaction volume reached 434.42 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 7.0% compared to the same period last year, accounting for 63.2% of the total electricity consumption in the whole society, an increase of 1.3 percentage points year-on-year. In terms of trading scope, the intra-provincial transaction volume was 33.148 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 6.3%; the inter-provincial and inter-regional transaction volume was 10.294 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 9.4%. In terms of trading types, the medium and long-term transaction volume was 41.785 billion kilowatt-hours; the spot transaction volume was 1.657 billion kilowatt-hours; the green electricity transaction volume was 2.050 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 43.3% compared to the same period last year.
