Data released on Wednesday showed that Samsung Electronics' share in the global high-bandwidth memory chip market slipped to third place in the second quarter, with American company Micron Technology rising to second place. According to data from industry tracking firm Counterpoint Research, Samsung Electronics held 17% of the global HBM chip market in the second quarter, lower than Micron's 21%. SK Hynix ranked first with a market share of 62%.
