"Wood Sister" Cathie Wood's fund has resumed holding Alibaba for the first time in four years. According to daily trading reports released by Wood's Ark Investment Management, the company's two ETFs bought Alibaba ADR for approximately $16.3 million on Monday. On Tuesday, Alibaba ADR reached its highest level since November 2021, nearly doubling since the beginning of the year. According to a search tool by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Ark's first investment in Alibaba can be traced back to 2014 shortly after the company went public that year. However, no investment or voting records could be found after September 2021. This latest investment may signify Ark's renewed efforts to expand its investments in the Chinese internet space.
