The largest liquefied natural gas plant in the southwestern region of our country has been completed and put into operation.

Journalists have learned that the country's first shale gas processing plant, located in Fuling, Chongqing, has completed its capacity expansion project and is now in operation. The plant's capacity has increased to 2 million cubic meters per day, making it the largest liquefied natural gas plant in the southwest region. It is understood that the first phase of the Fuling liquefied natural gas plant was completed and put into operation in 2018, processing 1 million cubic meters of raw natural gas per day and producing 222,000 tons of liquefied natural gas per year. With the completion of this capacity expansion project, the total capacity of the plant has doubled to 2 million cubic meters per day, providing 440,000 tons of liquefied natural gas products to the surrounding areas each year, significantly enhancing the region's ability to secure liquefied natural gas resources. Since its establishment, the liquefied natural gas plant has supplied more than 1.4 million tons of clean energy to Chongqing and the surrounding provinces.
