ExxonMobil will invest $6.8 billion to expand the oil project in Guyana.

Exxon Mobil announced on September 22 that, after obtaining necessary regulatory approvals, the company has made a final investment decision on the Hammerhead offshore development project in Guyana. Hammerhead is the seventh project in the Stabroek block of Guyana, costing $6.8 billion, and is expected to start production in 2029 with a daily oil production capacity of 150,000 barrels.
