HSBC said the impact of the new H-1B visa rules in the United States is "manageable" for them.
HSBC Holdings said that the increase in visa fees for foreign employees in the United States is "manageable" for the bank, as its number of employees in the US is less than some of its competitors or major tech companies. "We have a small number of employees on visas," said Michael Roberts, head of HSBC's corporate and institutional banking, on Monday. "For us, it is manageable." He added that for other financial services companies and tech companies, it may be a "significantly bigger issue."
