National Energy Administration: Accelerate the breakthrough of key equipment of pressurized water reactor units, and conduct research and validation of new equipment, processes, and materials for advanced nuclear power technologies such as small reactors and fourth-generation reactors.

The State Energy Administration and other departments have issued guidance on promoting the high-quality development of energy equipment. In terms of nuclear power equipment, efforts should be accelerated to break through the key equipment of pressurized water reactor units, improve and enhance testing and verification capabilities, and continuously improve the reliability and stability of equipment. Research and verification should be carried out on new equipment, processes, and materials for advanced nuclear power technologies such as small reactors and fourth-generation reactors, to enhance the long-term service performance of materials in coupled environments of intense radiation, corrosive media, and high temperatures. Efforts should be made to strengthen irradiation testing capabilities, explore advanced manufacturing technologies such as automatic welding, additive manufacturing, and intelligent manufacturing, and promote the establishment of an equipment development system covering multiple reactor types.
