The countdown to the ban on the export of cobalt from the Congo has begun. Journalists have communicated with many industry insiders and learned that most cobalt intermediate product manufacturers have suspended quoting prices, and some companies have stopped production due to raw material shortages. If the ban on the export of cobalt from the Congo is extended, it is expected that the short-term cobalt price may experience a significant increase. In interviews, it was revealed that Luoyang Molybdenum Industries plans to release resources in accordance with local policies to maximize the value of cobalt, while GEM Co. Ltd. stated that they will control order acceptance to manage sales pace. It is predicted that most domestic cobalt producers will be able to maintain their raw material inventory until the end of the year.
