Estonia accuses Russian warplanes of "violating airspace", Russian Ministry of Defense denies.

The Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a news announcement on the 19th stating, "Three Russian MiG-31 fighter jets entered Estonian airspace without permission. This incident occurred over the Gulf of Finland, with the fighters remaining in the airspace for 12 minutes." The Russian Ministry of Defense issued a statement in the early hours of the 20th, saying that "Three Russian MiG-31 fighter jets were planned to be relocated from Karelia to an airport in Kaliningrad Oblast on September 19. This flight strictly complied with the rules for the use of international airspace and did not violate the airspace of any other country. Objective monitoring equipment has confirmed this." The Russian Ministry of Defense emphasized that during the flight, Russian military aircraft did not deviate from the agreed flight path and did not violate Estonian airspace. The flight path was set along the neutral waters of the Baltic Sea, more than three kilometers away from Vaindloo Island.
