In the first 8 months of the year, the sales of goods eligible for tax refunds upon departure from Shanghai exceeded 20 billion yuan.

Journalists have learned from Shanghai Customs that in the first eight months of this year, Shanghai Customs verified and approved 96,600 departure tax refund applications, totaling 20.7 billion yuan worth of goods. This is an increase of 1.68 times and 83% compared to the same period last year, exceeding the total for the whole of last year, demonstrating that the departure tax refund policy at Shanghai ports continues to yield results.
