On the 19th, it was learned from the State Administration for Market Regulation that the State Administration for Market Regulation recently organized a revision of the "Management Measures for Registration of Formulas for Infant Formula Powder Products", specifically stating that the registration of formulas for infant formula liquid products will be subject to this measure. The supporting documents for formula registration will be publicly solicited for opinions. The newly revised Food Safety Law will include the registration management of infant formula liquid milk. Compared with infant formula powder, infant formula liquid milk has stricter requirements for microbiological and stability control. The State Administration for Market Regulation has clearly defined registration requirements in three aspects: first, requirements for controlling microbiological risks in raw materials such as psychrotrophic bacteria and heat-resistant spore-forming bacteria in raw milk; second, requirements for maintaining stability during product development, including the establishment of internal control evaluation standards, evaluation indicators, and testing methods for product stability; and third, specific requirements for production process validation, product inspection, and sterilization effect verification.
